Law enforcement officials in Adams and Pike counties are investigating a series of possibly related robberies.

Pike County, Illinois Sheriff David Greenwood reports deputies responded to a report of a robbery at the Jiffi Stop in Barry about 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

An investigation found that a white or Hispanic male came into the business, opened the cash register, took cash and walked out. There was no contact with store personnel.

The same subject was seen a short time later at the One Stop in New Canton.

Greenwood said these incidents may be related to a robbery at the Dollar General on North 12th Street in Quincy around midday Wednesday.
