All students in the Palmyra School Districts will get an I-pad to use in the classroom and at home next school year.

The Palmyra School Board this week approved a four-year contract with Apple, Inc. to lease 1,100 I-pads for the 2017-18 school year.

That’s one for each K-through-12 student in the Palmyra District.

The district will pay Apple about $95,000 annually for the next four years, which is about $40,000 a year less than a previous quote from Apple.

At the end of the lease, the district can either buy the tablets for $1 or trade them in on new models.
