(Ewing, Mo)--  The Palmyra Girls basketball team set a new scoring record at the Highland Tournament on their way to winning the Championship game. 

The Palmyra Lady Panthers rolled over Macon, 80 to 26 Saturday evening.  The Lady Panthers racked up 230 points in three days, a tournament record.

The Canton Tigers defeated the Palmyra Panthers in the Boys' Championship game, 80 to 54.

Hannibal Pirates garnered third place in the Boys Bracket, defeating Knox Co. 62 to 49.

Knox County knocked off the Hannibal Lady Pirates to win 3rd place.  The final was Knox Co. 44, Hannibal 36.

The Boys' Consolation Game went to Highland, as they defeated Macon 52 to 42.

The Girls' Consolation Game was won by Clark County.  The final was Clark County 40, Highland 35.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL

MISSOURI TIGERS 70  AUBURN 68

It was a close battle between the Auburn Tigers and Missouri Tigers, but MU prevailed at the end.  Missouri trailed 67 to 66 with 1:51 left in the 4th , but 4 free throws from Ernest Ross helped Missouri pick up the road win.  Jordan Clarkson had 20 points,  Ross had 16 points, Jabari Brown had 15 for Mizzou.
