According the Sheriff Brian VonderHaar, 86 inmates were moved to the new jail Saturday, officially marking the opening of the new facility.

Sheriff VonderHaar says anyone wanting to visit with inmates can come during regular visiting hours, using the Vermont Street entrance. However, due to COVID, visits are being done by off-site video conferencing.

A kiosk for depositing money into inmate accounts is available at the jail entrance.

Those wanting to post bond for an inmate after court hours or want to pick up property can use the Quincy Police entrance off Broadway.
