Missouri Man Killed in Jet-Fueled Truck Accident at Air Show
He was famous for his performances in a jet-fueled truck at air shows around America. However, something went terribly wrong over the 4th of July weekend at an air show in Michigan and it cost him his life.
The Trucker shared the sad news of the passing of stunt truck driver, Chris Darnell. Chris, a native of Springfield, Missouri, was driving his Shockwave Jet Truck which reaches speeds over 300 miles per hour at an air show in Battle Creek, Michigan. Chris was under two planes flying overhead when something failed in his truck.
Neal Darnell shared the sad news on their official Facebook page. He confirmed it was a mechanical failure on the Jet Truck.

Chris Darnell, the driver of the SHOCKWAVE Jet Truck, has been performing alongside us for many years and has been a staple of the Air Show community.
His love for motorsports and passion for his craft always inspired us and those around him.
Chris and his Shockwave Jet Truck were stars at many air shows over the years. In this performance, Chris broke 333 mph.
