The post season begins Friday night for Missouri high school football teams, with the final week of the regular season happening in Illinois this weekend.

In Missouri Class 2, Palmyra begins district play as the four-seed and will host fifth-seeded Bowling Green Friday at 7 p.m. This will be a rematch from week two, when the Panthers knocked off the Bobcats 49-0 at Bowling Green. That game can be heard on Y101 at 6:40 p.m. Friday.

In Class 4, top-seeded Hannibal's first round district action is also a rematch as the number eight Marshall Owls visit Porter Stadium. Two weeks ago, the Pirates beat the Owls 56-22 at Marshall. KICK-FM will have the broadcast of that game at 6:35 p.m. Friday.

In other Class Two district action Friday night, Highland visits top-seed Macon, Clark County is at Centralia and Van-Far travels to Clopton/Elsberry.

In Class One, Louisiana is at Mark Twain, Paris goes to Monroe City and Schuyler County plays at South Shelby.

North Shelby is at Pattonsburg in Eight-Man district play.

In Illinois, the cross-town rivalry is renewed as Quincy High and Quincy Notre Dame meet, with the Raiders in a must-win situation to make the post season, and the Blue Devils already in after winning the Western Big Six championship.

Elsewhere, it's North Greene at Camp Point Central, Mendon Unity at Greenfield/Northwestern, Calhoun at Brown County, Pleasant Hill/Western at Jacksonville Routt and Riverton at Pittsfield.

Other football related programming this weekend includes the Friday Football Focus and the Monday Morning Quarterbacks on KHMO at 7:30 a.m., Middle Tennessee State at Missouri at 1 p.m. Saturday, also on KHMO and the New Orleans Saints at Kansas City to face the Chiefs at 11 a.m. Sunday on KICK-FM.
