I have never met Luke Guthrie but I feel like he's one of us simply by being from Quincy. This young man came from behind yesterday to win the Web.com Tour's WNB Golf Classic in Midland, Texas.  He was 5 shots back when play started yesterday and he made up the difference and then some after firing a 6 under par 66 in the final round.

Guthrie won it with a 12 foot par putt on number 18 to win by one stroke.  The former Quincy Blue Devil and University of Illinois standout picked up a winner's check worth 99 thousand dollars which catapulted him to the top of the money earning's list. In his ten combined starts on both the Web.com and PGA Tour, Guthrie has earned over 667 thousand dollars.

What's up next for Luke?  He's headed to the Ryder Cup in Chicago as a spectator.  Perhaps United States Captain Davis Love III should as him to bring his clubs.
