(Jefferson City)— Attorney General Chris Koster says a Missouri company will pay over $149,000 for fraudulently billing Medicaid for services it did not provide.

Koster says between 2009 and 2012, Angel’s Care of St. Louis billed the state for home health services while some of the clients were hospitalized, and after two clients were deceased.   Angel’s Care also allegedly allowed ineligible employees to provide in-home care.

The $149,000 settlement includes nearly $39,000 in restitution, plus damages and penalties.
