Missouri Governor Jay Nixon and Illinois Governor Pat Quinn are urging the Army Corps of Engineers to reconsider a plan to reduce flow from a Missouri River reservoir into the Mississippi.

The corps has said that around November 23rd it will reduce the flow at Gavins Point Dam in South Dakota. The big river that's critical for U.S. barge traffic is already at low levels near St. Louis.
