There is an unusual warning about 4 Illinois places of higher learning being considered as a bad deal for students and among the worst in America - allegedly.

I tend to be a skeptical person when I see articles like the one shared by the Herald Weekly which said "The Worst Schools in the U.S: You’ve Been Warned". They give different reasons for why each university or trade school is included, but the general reasons they ding places include low graduation rates, high tuition costs versus how much salary the average graduate makes after 6 years and dangerous campuses.

Keep in mind this is NOT my list, but the 4 Illinois universities/trade schools that Herald Weekly declared among the worst in America.

For the record, I would never make a decision about education in Illinois at any level based on just one site's opinion. Another resource I found that provides graduation rates for Illinois places of higher learning is College Simply. I would just use the data in this article as a jumping off point for your own research to decide who you want to trust when it comes to an Illinois university or trade school education.
