I saw this interesting Illinois relaxation option on Airbnb and also on VRBO. Wanna be lazy? This place in East Dubuque, Illinois should do the trick. It's a cabin that quite literally floats on the backwaters of the Mississippi River.

This Illinois Cabin Floats on the Mississippi River Backwaters

Here's how Samantha the host describes her place on Airbnb:

Our newly renovated floating cabin features retro vibes and beautiful views of the Mississippi River backwaters.
This cabin sits DIRECTLY in the water and is available for rent year round. Enjoy the nature around you while sitting on your private floating deck, or snuggle up inside in front of the electric fireplace and Smart TV. This cabin features 2 bedrooms with queen beds, and a trundle bed in the living room with 2 twin beds.

As of this writing, a nightly stay in this floating Illinois cabin Airbnb will cost you around $130. Considering the fact that you're right on the river, that seems like a more than fair and I could argue compelling cost for a lazy vacation where floating is on your daily to-do list.
