I've heard many a tale told over the years of treasure hidden in Missouri, but most are vague and likely just wild imaginations. This one is different. It's a legend that says there is a fortune in Spanish gold buried in Missouri, but the clues provide very specific locations.

It was October 24, 1879 when a newspaper in Cass County, Missouri (Cass County Times-Courier) actually reported on what you're about to see. It was stories about a search for Spanish gold that was buried near Harrisonville. The legend claims that Spaniards traveled through the land that would become Harrisonville in 1772 and buried 15 loads of gold to lighten their travel load with plans to recover it later. However, they were attacked by native American tribes and the gold was left unclaimed.

That would put the address of the potential buried gold and silver to be 24219 Treasure Rd, Peculiar, MO 64078. Treasure Road?

The video claims that construction crews in 1930 unearthed evidence of a Spanish presence in this part of Missouri yet no one has found the buried gold and silver yet. Does it still remain under the Earth there or is this just one of Missouri's many legends of fortunes lost? The fact that the road near the Old Rodman School has been named Treasure Road shows you that I'm not the only one who's heard this legend.
