There was never anyone quite like Robin Williams and there never will be again. There's a new video share which is a throwback to when the legendary comedian made a hilarious appearance in a commercial for Illinois Bell.

I saw this short video that was just shared by Peter Morley on YouTube. It's Robin Williams just prior to his Mork & Mindy era appearing in a hilarious commercial for Illinois Bell. This also became a topic on a nostalgia sub-Reddit, too.

Mork and Mindy didn't make its TV debut until 1978 which means this was vintage Robin Williams before the rest of the world came to know his comedy genius.

Time for me to share a true yet embarrassing story. When I was in middle school in Hannibal, Missouri, Mork and Mindy was in its prime. I was such a fan that I got a short-sleeve shirt with glittery rainbow sleeves that had "Nanu Nanu" and the famous hand gesture on the front and "Mork" on the back. I'm so thankful there were no smartphones, phone cameras or social media back in those days. It was similar to this shirt.

I miss Robin Williams. I don't understand the complicated life he lived. All I know is moments like this Illinois Bell commercial make me wonder what else he might have come up with if he had stayed with us.
