If you're a child of the 80's, I've got great news for you. Even if you didn't grow up in that era, you might want to know that the Quincy, Illinois mall is about to get its old school arcade back soon.

Thank you to Nick and Jeremy Jenkins who were kind enough to allow me to share the story of how they're bringing back the classic arcade to the Quincy Town Center formerly known as the Quincy Mall. Their effort is gonna be called Quarter Castle Arcade and they really are gonna try to make this feel like what used to be Aladdin's Castle during its heyday.

There is so much to love about this. In case your device isn't showing you the text of their Facebook status update, they're promising that many of the arcade machines will only require a quarter or two instead of some of the sky high prices that made arcade games a hard sell near the end of the original arcade's run. They also plan to offer prize games which you can see in this video share earlier today.

When will the Quarter Castle Arcade open?

The grand opening date hasn't been announced yet, but stay tuned and I'll update this once you can go see their new project for yourself. Good luck to these guys in trying to bring back what was the best of my generation's teen years. Let's hope it's a big success.
