Have you ever wanted to fly or at least pretend you're Superman/Supergirl? Afraid of heights? If you can answer yes to that first question and no to the second, there's an attraction in Missouri you should know about. It's the highest zipline in the state that begins its flight 230 feet above the Earth.

If you venture to southern Missouri near Branson, you will no doubt see a huge tower. That is called Inspiration Tower at Shepherd of the Hills. It's quite a spectacle to cast your gaze upon.

It's not the tower I want you to focus on. It's the platform on the right side. That is the launching point for the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider, the highest zipline in Missouri way up in the sky 230 feet above the ground.

That looks fun, but I really love the ground beneath my feet. Thanks though. These riders do look like they're having an outstanding time, though.

It's worth mentioning that even if you choose to not zipline off of it, Inspiration Tower is really an experience in and of itself. The official website says it took $1.5 million to build and is constructed from 92,000 pounds of steel. It can also withstand a wind gust of 224 mph which is more or less a super-strong EF-5 tornado. Good to know that if a tornado hits, I'm safe on this high tower.

All kidding aside, this part of the Branson, Missouri area really is worth exploring at some point in your life if you're able. You won't find a higher or faster zipline anywhere else in the state.
