Missouri Trail Camera Shows a Deer Getting Bitten By a Snake
Here's one of the many things in nature that likely happens all the time, but we rarely get to witness it. A Missouri trail camera captured the moment when a deer appears to be bitten by a snake.
This trail cam was captured by William Mattison of the Lost in the Ozarks YouTube channel. If I'm not mistaken, I believe he has cameras in the Bull Shoals part of the Missouri Ozarks in the extreme southern part of the state. This trail camera time stamp shows this happened earlier in the year in the Spring.
If you're a fan of deer, you'll be happy to know that this doe appears to have survived the bite and eventually walks away. There's no way to tell if this was a Copperhead or rattlesnake or any other venomous critter that inhabits the woods of southern Missouri. It's probably just a snake that didn't appreciate nearly getting stepped on by a deer.
The Lost in the Ozarks YouTube channel is the same one that captured the fireball over St. Louis, Missouri late last week.
