I would never have guessed in this modern era of travel that there is one state you simply cannot fly to from Missouri and I'm not talking about remote states like Alaska or Hawaii either.

I don't know about you, but I've flown into and out of St. Louis Lambert International Airport numerous times in my life. I've rarely flown to anyplace exotic, but always figured that any state that I had the need or desire to fly to, I hypothetically could have. I was wrong.

According to Fly Trippers, there is one state that you cannot access directly from Missouri or most any other state either. That state is Delaware that used to have absolutely no commercial flights whatsoever. Things are (slightly) improving there though. Frontier just recently began offering commercial flights in Delaware, but Missouri is not on the destinations list.

It's possible that other carriers may eventually return to Delaware, too, but I cannot foresee that any will be able to justify providing travel directly to or from Missouri. If you must travel to Delaware for some reason, looks like you need to find a nearby East Coast hub and plan to spend some time in a rental car. Missouri to Delaware appears to permanently be a no-fly zone.
