A Small Missouri Corner Is Home to a Pancake Favorite
Food is a very subjective thing. What is a delicious creation for one person may not be appealing to another. Pancakes are especially difficult to get right. However, if you look at online reviews, one of the most respected pancake places in Missouri sits on a rather inconspicuous corner with helpings that dwarf the plate they're served on.
Have you ever visited this place located on Holmes Street in Kansas City, Missouri?

According to Cheapism, this is the most respected pancake place in Missouri and it's called Succotash. You should see the size of the portions that I've seen many share online at this Missouri place that specializes in all things brunch.
I'm always wary of relying on the opinion of just one writer, but in this case the Yelp reviews of Succotash back up the recommendation. I've noticed that their owner pays close attention to what is said about her restaurant and most of the reviews are stellar. Here are a few:
- Kelly S - "Best gluten free pancakes I've ever had! The service is always quick and friendly! The best bacon around town! Fun atmosphere to enjoy breakfast at!"
- Cindy L - "Only go here if you are starving, because the portions are ginormous!"
- Kara W - "The pancakes were huge and delicious."
- Danielle M - "I had heard good things, but my experience exceeded my high expectations. Great gluten-free choices, friendly and fast service, big portions, delicious food, what more could you ask for? I'll be back and I'll be bringing friends."
You get the idea. How awesome is it that a small place like this that sits on a small street corner in Kansas City gets some national recognition? I've never had the pleasure of visiting there, but if my travels take me through that part of Missouri, it will be on my list.
