Missouri Will Soon Have a Direct Flight Option to Alabama Beaches
I don't know about you, but I've been on plenty of plane trips and nothing I flew on was direct to anything. Layovers are a drag. That's why I take it as great news that Missouri will soon have a direct flight option that will take you from the Show Me State to the beaches in Alabama.
While I genuinely loathe Facebook and its ilk, I do occasionally see useful things there (maybe once per month if I'm lucky). Today was fortunately that day as I saw this interesting share from Visit Alabama's Beaches.
As of May 2025, you'll be able to fly directly from Kansas City, Missouri to Gulf Shores, Alabama which is a beautiful place. I've only been in the vicinity once, but I can verify it's epic if you've never been. Allegiant Air is the carrier that appears to be adding this no-layover direct flight to beach sun goodness.
One thing I appreciate about the beach areas of Alabama is it doesn't seem to be as pricey to stay there as it does in Florida. There's a reason why that part of Alabama to Panama City, Florida is often referred to as the Redneck Riviera. All I can say is don't knock it until you try it. I'll take discount beach experiences any day of the week any time of year.
