When it comes to strange encounters in the deep woods, I tend to trust the words of an experienced outdoorsman over a regular person that isn't accustomed to hearing creature sounds. That's why I would pay close attention to a new report from a bowhunter who was just across the Missouri border who has reported hearing a strange howl.

The Bigfoot Field Research Organization has just shared a new report from a bowhunter who was approximately 8 miles to the east of Mountain Home, Arkansas which is just a hop, skip and a jump from the southern Missouri border near Lake Norfolk. The eyewitness report from this bowhunter happened on September 28, 2026. Here's a snippet of his exact words about what he experienced:

"heard 2 howls 15 seconds apart while bowhunting this morning 7:30 am. i am 70 years old and have been hunting all my life, i have heard coyote's and wolfs this was neither.i have heard the sound before on tv or utube on bigfoot shows that people have recorded.i was hunting in the diamond bay area on lake norfork"

He added that he was hunting alone. The assessment by the BFRO said that howls in that part of northern Arkansas/southern Missouri can travel a long distance due to the terrain. The hunter apparently did not get a recording of the howl as he was more focused on determining what was making the sound instead of grabbing his phone. The lake he was near is located near the center of this map.
