It's good to be wanted. Well, most of the time it's good to be wanted unless that's by the police. In this case, that's also a good thing as the Illinois State Police do want you if you're a woman.

The Illinois State Police have never done anything like this before. The Public Information Office of the Illinois State Police says they will hold their first-ever all-female recruitment effort on March 18, 2025.

The Illinois State Police are committed to adding more ladies to their ranks and it's not just patrol cars where the opportunities lie. They have careers including "Academy and
Training, Patrol, Criminal Investigation, Internal Investigation, Forensic Services, Justice
Services, and Statewide 9-1-1" according to the press release.

There is now an official Illinois State Trooper website where you can learn about what life as a state law enforcement officer is like. While men are also welcome to apply for upcoming Academy entry in Illinois, this new effort is specifically for the ladies. If you think you have what it takes, check out the Illinois State Trooper website.
