I am normally a fan of sunshine. But, even I would prefer that Missouri would see a lot more moisture and that's exactly what Farmer's Almanac is predicting for July. Let's hope they're correct.

There are a lot more small details of what the Farmer's Almanac thinks will happen in Missouri in July, but I'd like to focus on this one very important thing. It's what they think precipitation will be like over the next 30 days or so.

Note in the graph, the red represents temperature and the blue stands for precipitation.

Considering the fact that much of Missouri is currently under what the National Weather Service calls "an extreme drought", this would be welcome news.

Here's a week-by-week breakdown of what Farmer's Almanac says Missourians can expect:

1st week of July - A few t-storms; cool north, hot south

2nd week of July - Scattered t-storms, hot

3rd week of July - Isolated t-storms, warm

4th week of July -  Sunny north, a few t-storms south; cool

Overall, they believe that Missouri will see at least an inch more rain than normal with slightly cooler temperatures. An emphasis on that "slightly" for temps is advisable.

Now, here's why you should take this with a grain of salt maybe

Just for fun, I Googled "how accurate is Farmer's Almanac" and Wikipedia says 50%. So you're telling me that I should just flip a coin? That's my takeaway. It's like my dad used to tell me..."son if you don't like the weather in Missouri, just wait 10 minutes and it will change". My dad was almost 100% accurate for the record.
