Missouri Homes Get Strange Packages From Sender Who Doesn’t Exist

Have you received a weird package recently that was empty from someplace that you never placed an order from? If so, you are just one of many in Missouri who have reported a scam that originates from a man who does not exist.

The Better Business Bureau has confirmed reports of many residents in Missouri who have received a small white package. When they open it, it's empty or includes some trivial item like a hair clip. Here's one that was reported by a Missouri resident just a few days ago. Here's what they said happened:

"I received a small white padded envelope in my rural mailbox with the scammer's return address and name: Davve Garzaz 70 E Hawthorne Ave. Valley Stream NY 11580. The envelope was empty. I didn't order anything."

There are many videos on TikTok from people that have received an empty package from that person named Davve Garzaz from NY.

I came across a report from NewsChannel 5 on YouTube that explained what's going on. They confirmed with the Better Business Bureau that the sender and the address are not real. It's a phantom person from an imaginary address. So what gives? This is part of a scam where villains send packages worth nothing to addresses where delivery confirms it's a valid address which means the scammer can now post verified purchase reviews in your name. That's how some Amazon sellers build up huge positive feedback when the truth is the purchases from customers are not legit.

It could be a sign that someone has your personal information and could mean that your online accounts are compromised. The advisement is to check your credit report and bank account to make sure there are no illegitimate purchases.
