According to a new list from the website lawnlove.com, Kansas City has more green space than almost any other city in the US. Kansas City comes in 10th on the 2023's Cities with the Most Green Space list, behind only cities like Jacksonville, Nashville, Oklahoma City, and New York City. On the site they say...

"Lawn Love ranked nearly 100 of the biggest U.S. cities to determine 2023’s Cities With the Most Green Space. We compared the cities based on the number of parks, total acreage, and average yard size, among five total factors."

So what are the stats that put Kansas City in the 10th spot? The site ranks Kansas City 6th for Total Public & Private Green Area Per Capita, 19th for Total Park Acreage, and 37th for the Number of Parks and Green Spaces.

Meanwhile, St. Louis ranks much further down the list at the number 66th spot, and Chicago ranks even further down the list in the 75th spot (but Chicago is 2nd in the country for the number of parks). To see the full list for yourself click here!

I lived in Chicago for years and I will say that if you have never lived in a big city before that green space is important. Having places where you can go and get away from the smell and sounds of the concrete jungle is really helpful to your mental state, so shout out to KC for making the top 10!
