A company that calls itself the North American leader in online grocery shopping has set up shop in the Quincy area.

Effective Thursday, Instacart.com, a retail delivery service, has expanded to Quincy and surrounding communities.

Customers can go online or open the Instacart mobile app on their smart phones and select grocery items for delivery from stores ranging from Aldi’s and Sam’s Club to CVS Pharmacy and Petco.

Instacart also offers an income earning opportunity by hiring more than a hundred people who do the shopping and deliver the groceries to those who shop online.

Along with Quincy, shoppers in Fowler, Burton, Marblehead, Payson, Fall Creek, East Hannibal and Liberty along with other Adams County communities can use Instacart.com.
