Illinois Representative Jim Watson Stepping Down

A Republican state lawmaker from central Illinois is stepping down after more than a decade in office. The Jacksonville Journal-Courier reported today that state Rep. Jim Watson is leaving to become executive director of the Illinois Petroleum Council. His last day will be Dec. 3.
