The Illinois High School Association has announced significant changes in its plans for the remainder of its post season basketball tournaments.

In response to the spread of COVID-19, the IHSA will restrict attendance at the rest of its tournament games to 60 spectators per school.

This will affect the Class 1 and 2A state finals in Peoria and the Class 3 and 4A sectionals this weekend, the Class 3 and 4A super sectionals and state finals next week, along with the state finals in debate and drama/group interpretation.

A number of events held in conjunction with the state tournament have been postponed or cancelled, including the Three-point Shootout, the March Madness Experience and the Special Olympics and wheelchair state basketball tournaments.
