Banners displaying pictures of Hannibal veterans are proudly waving in downtown Hannibal, just in time for Memorial Day. As part of Hannibal’s 2019 Bicentennial Celebration, the Hannibal Convention and Visitor’s Bureau arranged to have submitted photos printed on banners produced by Independent’s Service Co.

According to the website , over 270 banners will be displayed from lampposts and windows throughout the downtown area. The banners will be displayed through Veteran’s Day 2019. According to the website, a list of the veteran’s banners with display location will soon be available.

Although it is too late to submit a veteran’s picture for the banners, pictures may still be submitted for the digital photo album on the website. A downloadable form must be submitted along with the veteran’s photo. More information is available on the website. There is no charge for this service, which is a great way to honor Hannibal veterans from any era.
