Hannibal Nutrition Center Golf Fundraiser Big Success

The Hannibal Nutrition Center's annual golf fundraiser goes in the books as a success, despite the rainy weather.

Fifteen teams teed off at the Hannibal Country Club Monday to raise money for the center's Meals on Wheels program.

The nutrition center delivers 350 meals every day, covering about 280 miles daily, along with the meals served at the center during the week. Along with meals the center is contracted to provide, they serve some 250,000 meals annually.

Planning for the next fundraiser is underway. The annual benefit auction takes place in February, and anyone with items to contribute can contact the center.
