If you would like to own your own home, Mark Twain Habitat for Humanity may be looking for you.

The local Habitat chapter is searching for families to help achieve the dream of home ownership.

Applications to be a Habitat homeowner will be available at a couple of meetings Thursday in the Shirley Bomar Community Center on Munger Lane in Hannibal.

There will be meetings at 2 and 6:30 p.m. Thursday for potential applicants.

To be a Habitat homeowner, you must be able to pay for the house and pass a credit check, have a need for the home and be willing to partner with Habitat to build the house, which will include 300 hours of sweat equity.
