Game On! Sports Schedule for January 17, 2013

A Knicks-Pistons matchup in mid-January may sound a little ho-hum, but it’s not. The two teams square off today in London at the O2 Arena, as the NBA tries to showcase its product to a European crowd.

This will be the fifth game in Europe this season (including preseason) and marks a reunion of sorts for the Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler, who were on the roster this past summer when Team USA won gold at the O2 Arena during the Summer Games.

If the pro game doesn’t get you excited, then maybe a top 10 tilt in the college ranks will do it. Fifth-ranked Michigan travels Minnesota to take on the ninth-ranked Golden Gophers in a key Big 10 matchup.
