Quincy photographer, Michael J. Vera Eastmond and other local photographers, both amateur and professional, will display their work in first exhibit in the Hannibal Arts Council’s 2014 gallery season. The Michael J. Vera Eastmond and Through Their Eyes open photography exhibit will be on display February 8 through March 22 at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S Main St. The exhibit is being sponsored by local artist and HAC volunteer Milly Johnson and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.

Local photographers interested in entering the Through Their Eyes open photography exhibit should visit the Gallery page at hannibalarts.com and look for a link to exhibit details, artist registration forms and artwork labels. Photograph submission dates are February 3 and February 5.

An opening reception for the exhibits will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, February 6 during Second Saturday Gallery Night. The public is invited to attend. Honorary Hosts for the evening will be the members of Gallery 310. Golden Eagle Distributing featured beverages will be O’Fallon Wheach and Ragar Red.

Hannibal Arts Council hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. The Hannibal Arts Council is closed Tuesdays and Sundays. In addition to regular gallery hours, other viewing options include 5-8 p.m. Saturday, March 8 during Second Saturday Gallery Night.
