Edina Mayor Arrested for Suspicion of DWI
The mayor of Edina was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated Tuesday night.
Knox County Sheriff Robert Becker reports that 36 year old Edina Mayor Eric Hunholt called the sheriff’s office around 9 p.m. Tuesday to report he had hit a cow with his vehicle on a gravel road north of Edina.
An investigation into the incident by sheriff’s deputies and the Missouri Highway Patrol resulted in Hunholt’s arrest for DWI.
Hunholt reportedly refused to take a breathalyzer test after being taken into custody.
Hunholt was released with a summons to appear in court on November 14th.
