Missouri Democratic party officials were in Hannibal Thursday afternoon as part of a statewide tour to promote their healthcare reform plan.

State party chairman Stephen Webber was among those on hand at Moberly Area Community College to promote “Healthy Missouri.”

Party officials tout the plan as a series of bold state-level reforms that will provide more options and lower costs for Missouri’s seniors and working families.

The Democratic plan includes requiring pharmaceutical companies to disclose price hikes and banning drug companies from giving gifts to doctors.

Thursday’s press tour included stops in St. Louis, Hannibal and Kirksville.
