The Adams County Health Department reports 28 new confirmed cases of COVID 19 on Friday.

The latest cases are spread across a wide range of ages, from children under 10 to one female in her 70’s. Total cases in the county now total 387, including 2 deaths.  Currently there are 127 active cases, 9 people are hospitalized, with 2 in ICU.

The press release says today’s active case numbers are higher due to discovered data that was missed on July 30.  The seven-day positivity rate for cases as a percent of total tests is 4.03%.

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) today announced 1,941 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including 21 additional confirmed deaths.

Officials urge residents to be extra vigilant with social distancing, handwashing, and the wearing of masks.
