I've seen a lot of tiny homes especially lately, but I've never seen one quite as...round as this one. It's a dome home made for someone who wants to live off-the-grid and it's currently in Missouri.

What is this Universal Dome? Here's what the lister from Kansas City, Missouri said on Tiny Home Listings about how this is designed and what it can withstand:

The Universal Dome is a 14ft wide, 9ft tall Geodesic dome made of FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic). The Universal Dome can withstand hurricane force winds, and up to 30ft of snowfall pressure. The Universal Dome is suitable for luxury camping, or long term outdoor accommodation.

It's really nice inside considering it is a dome. Here are some pics they shared. I'll state the obvious and say a few of these weren't taken in Missouri (unless we now have polar bears).

Wouldn't have to worry about snow accumulating on that round roof.

According to the Tiny House Listings page, these round off-the-grid domes start at around $9,500. Would it cost extra to have one that's square? (Asking for a friend)

Could you fit your life into a space that's 14 foot wide and 9 foot tall? That'd be a challenge, but I have no doubt there's someone who would think this is ideal. If nothing else, it's a wildly original Missouri igloo idea.

Now, back to that Missouri polar bear search...
