A cornhole tournament will be held at The Dock in Quincy on Sunday, September 27, to help local band Avenue Beat with their ongoing expenses as they work toward a Nashville record deal.

The trio, made up of Sami Bearden, Sam Backoff and Savana Santos has been burning up the road over the past several months with trips back and forth to Nashville as they continue to write with Music City songwriters and perform all over a several state region. The event at The Dock will not only show support for the group, but help them continue chasing their dreams, something that can make the whole tri-state area proud.

The cornhole tournament will be double elimination. The entry fee is $30 per team if paid by Friday, September 25. The cost is $35 per team on Saturday and Sunday. Registration forms can be picked up at The Dock, on Bonansinga Drive, on the riverfront in Quincy. Teams can register the day of the tournament on Sunday, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Cash prizes of $100, $50 and $30 will be awarded for the top three teams.

Of course no event concerning Avenue Beat would be complete without a performance. The group will play from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
