The trial of a Hannibal man charged with child molestation and sodomy has been continued.

The trial of Andrew Crook was to have begun Thursday, but a continuance was granted by Judge Rachel Bringer Shepherd in Marion County Circuit Court.

Shepherd had granted a change of venue in the case to Monroe County in July.

A second defendant in the case, Deanna Lange of Barry, pleaded guilty to statutory sodomy in June and was sentenced to seven years in prison.

Crook’s next court date is scheduled for December 5th. He remains in the Marion County Jail on $100,000 cash only bond.
