Community Foundation Grants Assist Nonprofits

A record of more than $61,000 was handed out to forty-two area nonprofit organizations which have charitable funds and endowments with the Community Foundation Serving West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri. The checks were presented during a 9 a.m. program at Sunset Home in Quincy. 

Earnings from the charitable funds and endowments provide an additional source of annual income for the nonprofits organizations. Each Year, a portion of each organization's fund growth are used by the organizations for a variety of charitable purposes in fulfilling their mission.
