The elephants are looking forward to their spa day at the Quincy Mall. The Carson and Barnes Circus runs Saturday, September 5, through Monday, September 7, sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Quincy.

Sunday at 12:30 p.m. the biggest stars of the Circus are scheduled to receive full “spa treatment” from head to toe, and the public is invited to watch.

The elephants will be lathered, scrubbed, exfoliated, moisturized, and pedicured, so they look and feel their best when they greet fans at that afternoon's big top performance. The process takes gallons of specially formulated “beauty soap” and hundreds of gallons of fresh water. Come see local firefighters from the Quincy Fire Department help out.

The all new 79th Edition of the Carson & Barnes Circus also features a giant menagerie of exotic animals from around the world, which can be seen free of charge before each scheduled performance. Elephant and pony rides are available for a small charge on the Circus midway, along with many other exciting pre-show activities.

Carson & Barnes Circus is affordable for the entire family. Advance tickets are just $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for children under age 12. Prices are $16.00 for adults and $10.00 for children under age 12 when purchased on Circus show days. Show times are at 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
