Canton Fire

(CANTON)—What started as a garage fire destroys a house at 801 White street in Canton. The fire broke out after 9 p-m. Five fire departments, including Canton, Williamstown, LaGrange and Monticello were called in to fight the fire.

Fire Chief Jeff McReynolds says the blaze started in the garage. McReynolds says there were initial reports of explosions going off in the garage. Then, the fire spread to the house. No one was home at the time. McReynolds said the owners were away on vacation.
