Caboose Used as Palmyra River Camp Burns

(Palmyra, Mo)—No injuries are reported after a fire totals a Mississippi river camp near Palmyra on Friday.  Firefighters called to the scene around 5:30 pm were unable to save the structure which was actually a converted railroad caboose.  Fire officials say the fire started when the owners were burning brush and the flames spread to the camp.
