Banton to Face Felony Drug Charges

(Hannibal)—Hannibal Police say an arrest warrant has been issued by the 10th Judicial Court in Marion county for a man arrested Thursday on drug charges. 58 year old Lynn Banton is charged with Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, a class B felony, after his arrest at 517 Euclid Avenue Thursday afternoon. A search of his residence turned up 27 marijuana plants along with equipment and chemicals used in the cultivation of pot. Also uncovered were finished marijuana and firearms. Banton was taken to the Marion County Jail and his bond is set at $100,000.
