I began my radio career in July of 1976 at WBBA radio in my hometown of Pittsfield, Illinois, while also working on the farm the radio station owner had. Then I moved to Canton, Missouri in the fall of 1980 and helped start KQCA radio, where we spun records for four years. My next stop was in Quincy, Ill. and I helped start up WQCY-FM, in 1984 as Program Director. In 1992 I moved to Bick Broadcasting and started Top 40 Hits KRRY-FM (Y101) and have been here ever since!

Grammy award winning bluegrass musician Carl Jackson and his friends Larry Cordle and Jerry Salley will entertain starting at 7 p.m. This is the trio's third performance at Music Under the Stars.

The Quincy Regional Training Facility is hosting the "Battle of the Badges" blood drive for the American Red Cross. The event will take place from noon until 4pm on June 24 at the Quincy Regional Training Facility's New Classroom Complex. The classroom is located at 1900 Seminary Road.
