Ashley Cummins to be Crowned Miss Hannibal Saturday

A new 2016 Miss Hannibal will officially be crowned Saturday afternoon.

Ashley Cummins was first runner up in the Miss Hannibal pageant held last October. It was announced earlier this week that the winner of the crown has decided she could not fulfill her obligations and relinquished the title of Miss Hannibal.

There will be an official crowning and reception for Cummins at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the auditorium of the Mark Twain Museum Gallery on North Main. The event is free and open to the public.

Cummins is a 2013 graduate of Hannibal High School and currently a junior at St. Louis University. Her parents are Melissa Cummins and Richard Cummins of Hannibal.

Cummins will compete in the 2016 Miss Missouri pageant in June.
