(Louisiana) – An Ashburn man in charged with second degree arson in connection with a residential fire in Louisiana Wednesday night.

42 year old Russell Ray Darnell is alleged to have started a fire at the residence of his wife and children after the wife refused to go with him to watch fireworks.

No one was hurt in the blaze. The state fire marshal confirmed the fire had been intentionally set.
Darnell is lodged in the Pike County Jail.
