The Adams County Treasurer reports getting an unexpected revenue check for the county recently.

Treasurer Terry Asher reports his office got a check for $659,000 from Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois.

The check came upon completion of the company’s Illinois Rivers electric transmission line across Adams County.

The 345 Kilovolt line runs through seven townships in southern Adams County, and state statute allows the county to all or portions of the payment to the affected townships.
