This food drive is the largest one-day food drive in the country and it's easy to help. Simply place the food you would like to donate into a box or bag for your mail carrier to come and collect, that's it. When the mail carrier comes by to deliver your mail on Saturday, May 14 they will also grab the donation that you leave at the mailbox. Simple and easy.

This food drive is held in over 10,000 cities across the country and towns in all 50 states and helps so many that are in need. With school coming to an end in the Tri-State area in a few weeks, food pantries are gearing up for a busy summer with parents trying to feed their families while school is out. This is the first time since 2019 that this food drive will be taken place, it was put on pause the last few years due to the pandemic, so the NALC is hoping that people will donate what they can.

Since the beginning, about 1.82 billion pounds of food have been collected for struggling families according to prnewswire.com, which is a huge number, and now more than ever food is needed at local pantries.
