Winners of the annual City of Quincy Arts Awards were honored on Jan 10 at the noon meeting of the Exchange Club at Stoney Creek Inn in Quincy. Each winner will be receiving original artwork created by students in Blaine Barnes’s art classes at Quincy Senior High School. The students who are awarding their framed artwork are Katlyn Grott, Bethany Long, Mary Jane Meirose and Kyle Warning.

The City of Quincy Arts Awards are sponsored by The Quincy Herald-Whig, WGEM, the Oakley-Lindsay Foundation and the Quincy Society of Fine Arts. This year there are four awards given in these categories: Business Leadership, Arts Organization, Volunteer Leadership and Individual Artist/Teacher.

Kohl Cash & Carry is receiving the award for Business Leadership in the arts for their support of many community groups including the QSFA.

The Quincy Community Theatre will be honored in the category of Arts Organizations.

Maggie Strong is to be honored for her Volunteer Leadership.

Anne Stupavsky is receiving the award for Individual Artist/Teacher.
