Sharpe Holdings Incorporated says they are contesting Occupational Safety and Health Administration citations following the death of a worker last September.

A press release from Sharpe Holdings says they will vigorously challenge citations resulting from an investigation into the September 1 death of a worker at the Heartland Dairy facility near LaBelle. The 35-year-old maintenance worker fell to a concrete floor while working on an overhead door.

The press release says the firm fully cooperated with OSHA and that no citations were issued related to the fatality. The release also expresses disappointment with OSHA for inferring that the tragedy was connected to unrelated citations issued after their investigation.
